Find Help, Discover Hope and Experience Healing
Divorce Care is a widely recognized program of support for divorced and separated adults.
Weekly sessions are held each Monday nights (7 pm - 8:15 pm). Meetings right now are in-person at First Church. The 13-week series uses a nationally validated curriculum directed by local leaders many of whom have experienced divorce themselves. Their lives provide examples of the healing and restoration that can occur after the breakup of a marriage.
Each session includes a video seminar featuring professionals in the areas of divorce and recovery. The television magazine format of the videos presents basic content and coping strategies in real-life case studies and expert interviews.
During the second part of each session participants discuss the video’s content and provide a time of support for all members of the group.
Study topics include: The Road to Healing, Facing My Anger, Facing My Depression, Facing My Loneliness, Biblical Guidance, New Relationships, Financial Survival, KidCare, Single Sexuality, Forgiveness, Reconciliation, and Moving On, Growing Closer to God.
The program is open to all interested community members. The 13-week series, scheduled to start September 12, 2022. A $10 registration fee purchases study materials used during the program. Child care is provided.
